When checking the voltage at the Anderson connector, it shows 269 volts right after charging. My truck is 276 volt model. Shouldnt is be 276 right after a charge?

Actually, just after a charge, you should be seeing more in the range of 317 volts. At end of charge, your batteries should be rested to about 13.8 volts each. At 269 volts, you are under 12. That would tend to indicate you either have a bad battery or you only have 22 instead of 23 batteries. I rather doubt the second option.

If you are only at 269, you probably have a bad battery. You may want to actually take the covers off after a charge and test each battery for resting voltage. If you have one that is lower than the rest, charge it individually to the same level as the rest with a 12v smart charger then let it sit for a few hours. If it has again dropped, you may have a bad battery. Take it to a place to have it tested to see if you have a dead cell in it that is drawing down the power from the rest of the battery. This will eventually hurt all the batteries if it is allowed to persist.

I assumed I would need new batteries. They are old and not even the correct ones. They are salvaged EV1 batteries installed by the previous owner.

I figured I would get it operating properly and then swap the batteries. Thanks for the information.

It will probably run at that voltage even though it is less than nominal. Just not well.
