We are considering putting in leds for marker bulbs because of there low power consumption. I've found a promising site that has LED's with standard bulb bases that are compatible with specific bulb types. The catch is they don't draw enough current to operate the existing flashers so you need to convert the flasher. Where are the flashers located? I've looked in the chilton manual and it gives a "typical location" which of course is wrong. This is a 1994 E-10 reg cab. |

We found the flashers the old fashioned way by disassembling the dash.
Well part of it. The flashers are located just left of the ashtray behind the lower dash panel that is under the steering column and runs roughly from the left of the dash to just right of the hump. This is on a 1995 E-10 yours
may vary. Still considering leds but the flasher would have to be replaced. |
