My truck was missing the air conditioner motor and controller... And I am tring to get it running again... cause its hot and muggy in Illinois...

I have since got a cheep ($35) treadmill brushed DC motor on ebay. Which is around 1.5HP at 2000 RPM at 144 volts. (its actuly rated at 260 volts DC, 5000 RPM at 2.25 HP), So I don't need a controller, just a solid state relay.

I am looking for the direction of rotation of the compressor when looking at the cogged pully.

Also, what type of belt does the cog pully take? Any markings on the belt or a picture would be good.

I also need to find a cog pully for my motor...

Also, does the fan on the condensor stay on all the time you have the A/C switch on? Or does it cycle with the compressor?

Actuly, does the compressor cycle, or does it stay on all the time?

I need to locate all the wiring for the air conditioner system under the hood, since when they took out the controller and motor, they just cut cables.

This is realy just a test to see if the air conditioner on my truck works or not, there might be an actual reason why the motor and contoller where taken out...

The Belt is a Gates Power Grip HTD 5005M15 (244MC) .
The Belt is 9/16" wide.
The Pulley is ~ 1.5 " in Dia. measuring from the rim or widest part.
The pulley has by my count 24 Teeth. This is assuming the 95 is the same as your 96 MY.

Sprocket would be a Gates Power Grip HTD 78821018 P24-5M-15AL
Belt would be a Gates Power Grip HTD 92930537 500-5M-15

The shaft on my motor is to big to fit the sprocket, so it looks like I need to find another motor on eaby...

What was the direction of rotation?

Thanks for the info.

The rotation is CCW when facing the pump/motor shaft.

Why not try having it turned down and a new keyway put in.

Its a hardend shaft, I would have to go through a bunch of cutters on my lathe... and I don't have a keyway broach, to put a keyway back in it.

Its cheeper to just buy another one on ebay. ;)
